# OpenCanopyIconPacks
This repository contains icon packs intended for use with the OpenCanopy GUI frontend for [OpenCore](https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg). The packs contain files in Apple .icns file format selected from the range of icons available at the [OpenCanopyIcons](https://github.com/blackosx/OpenCanopyIcons) repository.

## Simple Icon Packs
OpenCanopy will automatically detect and use the icons in these packs without any work needed by the user, other than installing them in the correct place to begin with.

## Extended Icon Packs which require user set up
These icon packs contain the same base icons as the non-extended pack, but also extra OS specific icons which the user can use to further customise their devices.

_Please note though that OpenCanopy will not use the extra icons automatically. Instead, the user will have to choose which icon they want for a specific device, place the file at the root of the desired volume and rename the file to .VolumeIcon.icns. Please consult the [OpenCore documentation](https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/blob/master/Docs/Configuration.pdf) for further guidance._
